Im in the process of a turbo build and i wasn't sure what size wastegate would be best for my application.

Setup:
b16a
2.5" intercooler piping
Synapse Ramhorn manifold
57trim turbo
750cc injectors
ect ect..

im planning on pushing about 10-14psi

Im going with tial just wasn't sure what size to go with 38m,40mm,44mm ect

please give input

38 will be fine.

 

Alright, I just don't wanna drop money on a certain wastegate and then find out theres one that would work better in my setup.

 

get a TIAL 38mm. You will be good to go.

 

38 should be fine or get a 40mm that way if you decide to go bigger in the future you have some room to grow.

 

A 1.6l with a 57trim will do just fine with a 38mm wg. It's when u have a big turbo and are trying to run low boost that a bigger wg is needed.

 

What power level are you looking to make? That number will determine the psi you will need in order to make said power. A Tial 38mm will be good.

What about 3.0L displacement, with a TO4E 60mm, 60 trim - .63A/R? Running between 7-9 psi.

I was originally thinking a 38mm, but wondering if it will not be enough to control that little boost... Problem is 38 to 44 is a decent jump in price...This is for 1/2 of my engine - as it's a 6L v8...so I still have to buy (2) wastegates.
