Default questin about back pressure and performance.....hi-flo cats

i have a '98 GS w/intake and cat-back apexi N1 exhaust. i wanted to get one of those straight through design cats. but then i read somewhere that not enough back pressure is bad. they said it would actually make you loose power. i will be getting turbo soon, but for now, if i got one of those hi-flo cats would that hurt anything? will i loose or gain performance? thanx.

you would have a nice lil gain. i noticed it through out the entire rpm band. it wont hurt your engine at all.

You will gain some uptop, I felt that my carsound opened up my top end along with my other mods.
If you're going turbo though you might want to get a bigger cat, but it will be loud and be too big while you're still NA.
