Hey guys I been thinking of possibly swapping in either CTR or ITR cams for a lil extra oomph. I was wondering how much gains there are, and if i need any other supporting mods to cope with the cams. will i need a tune? i also plan on boosting it in the future. thanks

 

either choice is good. CTR cams are better slightly. 00-01 type-r cams are the same as CTR cams. you can throw them in on stock valvetrain and u will not have any problems. just try to stay in the stock redline of ur motor. enjoy ur new cams.

 

itr exhast cam and ctr intake cam is perfect

 

Just get some ITR's or CTR. Either or will work. What ever you can find really.

if yer boostin ull make plenty power on oem cams n still have a nice idle over aftermarket cams

 

ill say go with gsr cams and boost have work great for me

 

ya but im not gonna have money for boost for about a year and a half so will i feel or get an gains keeping it n/a for alittle. plus will the stock springs be good enough.. my head has alil ticking now

 

either ctr cams or itr cams will be perfect if your boosting in future

 

stock springs will be fine, like i said just try and stay out of the 9000rpm area without upgrading to type-r valvetrain.

I vote for 00-01 ITR cams considering they are the easiest to find and generally the cheapest.
