White Smoke?
im planning on buying a 1991 crx si salvage title tomorrow for 500$ but the owner dont know whats wrong with it...he said it's something about the valve...its giving out white smoke atm....saldy i just wrecked my clean title 1991 crx si last saturday :/...
a leakdown test could pin point the problem in minutes. Doesn't seem like you have that option though. I'd stay away from it if has had frame damage. unless you're willing to repair it right. could be more problems down the road than it's worth
the guy told me something was wrong with the head so i decide to buy a z6 head to drop it in when i buy it tomorrow...it has a straight body that's why i want to buy it...how would i do a leakdown test:?
you need a leakdown tester and a compressor. It essentially pressurizes the cylinder while it's at TDC and helps you determine the health of the engine.
If you think it's a good buy, snag it. Then update with pics!! good luck
BTW, do a google search, I'm sure there is a video explaining it

it will bolt up, but the distributor from the non vtec head wont. You will have to convert the car obd-1 to use the original distributor from the vtec head.
Or, be ghetto and cut the leg of the nonvtec distributor and time it with a timing gun. Dont forget to reuse the obd-0 injectors.
