i tryed to reset my ecu
now my check engine light is on
and my motor idle surges between 2,000-2,400
i ran cel code .. but my srs light just blinks, and cel stays on . witch i beleive means there is no code ??
does this mean my ecu is reseting itself
the longest i have left idling is about fifteen minutes and it still surges
should i get a new ecu ?
... sorry for reposting, but i thought this better explains my problem

OBDI ECUs often lose stored CEL codes after the engine is turned off. The next time the CEL turns on, leave the engine running when you jump the service connector. This is a useful trick that member 94EG8 told me about.
The blinking SRS light just means that the SRS (airbag) control unit has a stored trouble code.
