Default D16y8 swap in 96 DX

I have a 96 civic i had a D16y7 in it i did a mini me put a y8 head on it and worked for a while never ran right it jumped idle like it was had a vaccum leak.. I Just bought a D16y8 full motor...

And i want it to run right as if it was the motor that came in the car

Do i gotta finda EX In a junk yard and steal i mean buy the wiring harness or clips or sum to make it run like i want? im still OBD2 i dont wanna do OBD 1 converson Till i Pass emissions..

What all do i need to do to make the car run like its supposed to... cause i wanna keep it like normal till i get my LSV built

Maybe the problem with your mini-me is that your Y8 head came from a 99-00 Civic, which has the FIA/fuel air injection system.

You will have to run the wiring for VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch, and knock sensor. You'll also have to extend one or more of your O2 sensors. The Y7 also has a 3 wire IACV so unless you converted it earlier you'll have to convert your 3 wire plug to a two wire.
