read my plugs
yeah, the porcelain and groundstrap seem orangish which ive seen in 2 occasions. 1 - leaded fuel. 2 - shitty gas that i swear they put water into.
i dont really see any signs of detonation, but on some of the plugs it looks like the color change is happening pretty far to the top of the strap. if you want to see how the motor is running under more load, look on the porcelain further down into the plug for specks of silver
did you pull the plug at the end of a pull or a run? that would be the best way to "lock in" the condition of the motor at that time on the plug.
also, you might want to get some new ones..what is your power level and gap at? the gap looks like it could be a tad tighter unless you are running low boost/power. just my opinion...

In the brake in stage, on an 84mm gsr build that I am gonna turbo..Still running stock injectors, and I noticed @ WOT my plx WB is @ 13.4-14.0 range.. It was reading @ 12.8-13.0 previously.. (changed from aem to plx)
I was playing with different gaps, thats why the gap looks the way it does.. I changed the plugs, so I'll see how this next set looks..
a/f ratio will change as the rings seat. changing from one wideband to another did you have the same a/f reading previously?

aem was reading 12.8-13.0 range
plx 300 now reading 13.4-14.3 range
I also changed to a CAI for now, cause the intake I had on was positioned right by the fan.. It was sucking in hot air..
I may need to make some fuel changes up top in the calibration, to compensate..

only true way to read plugs, put new ones in, make a pull, immediately shut it off, and pull plugs.
after driving around, what you need to see is usually gone.

what heat range plug is that? whats your setup? power?
without the right heat range plug, its going to throw the reading off in regards to how hot the chamber really is.
Other than the obvious use of octane booster, i cant tell much other than we are looking at an "idle" plug. That junk is like gods death to all tuners eyes.
the strap on 1 and 4 look like they have seen better days as well.
edit:
VI huh? I'll be down there tuning a car here soon. What island are you on?

bkr7e-11 plugs
84mm gsr
endyne ported gsr head
s2s2cams
supertech pistons(9.7:1)
eagle rods
(breaking in till I go boost)
street tuned, no dyno on the island..
I'm on st.croix, when you planning on coming.. Let me know I might have a few cars for you to tune..
whenever patrick finishes his new motor. I was down there about a year ago with his first setup.
If you know patrick (ek civic hatch b20vtec turbo) get in touch with him. Wont be too long. He's hoping to have me back down in Jan-Feb.

bingo.kill the motor at the top of the pull.pull and inspect.wear a det can if you are hesitant about doing a full pull.
i dont know about you guys but it sure looks like pre-ignition on #1 to me. unless those black specs are from the fuel additive. you cant really read a spark plug like that anyway(other than the heat range which that plug is too cold for you). the heat mark on the ground strap is too close to the tip indicating either you need to turn up the boost or switch to a hotter plug.if youre just breaking in a motor put a set up heat range 6's in there.
if you dont trust your wideband then read the fuel ring which is at the base of the porcelain. make a pass and shut it off while the engine is in dfco and look in the plug with a jewelers scope or magnifying lense at the base of the porcelain and you will see the fuel band. or you can cut the threads off the plug and take pics and post them up.

Those black specs could also be oil from being a fresh motor. I know we have ran inro this before on a couple "loose" fresh motors. Went away after a few pulls.
The combo of octane booster and reading an idle plug isnt going to tell us much

I was kinda thinking it was pre-ignition also.. I switched from a 7 to 6 heat range, running stock gap ..I'll see how it goes from there..
