bad temp sensor?

bad temp sensor?
so my temp.keeps goin up..and i already change my thermostat to see if thats the problem..but it still goes up..and the temp. will keep goin up and down...anyone know what the problem can be?

i knew my temp sensor was bad when it would show it was getting hot even when the motor wasnt on it was just on the on position..changed it and solved the problem... you should see if yours does that

ye, if it's clearly reading inaccurately, ie hot when cold, it's the sending unit. do not get it confused with the temp sensor, which relays signal to the ecu. the sending unit relays signal to the gauge
