95 EX questions
Alright so I just got a few questions hopefully wont be flamed did some searches but no luck, is the Haynes manual for this year a good enough resource for finding out how to replace the radiator support? recently had an accident and lookin for the best way to find out how to take care of my baby
haynes is garbage when it comes to body repair. buy a new radiator support, scribe alignment marks to the unibody where the old one is now, drill out the spot welds ( you can buy spot weld drill bits for this that retain the bottom layer of sheet metal without drilling all the way thru), drill some 1/8-3/16" holes in the new one, grind the unibody where you plan to plug weld the new support, apply weldable primer if you desire (good idea if you want corrosion protection between the parts at the weld), clamp it and weld it in, grind the visible welds, fill them if you want it to look pretty, prime and paint.
also good to apply seam sealer to all the seams to keep water out of the joints as much as possible. use the sealer over any plug welds that aren't completely full or smooth. you can use body filler if you want, but that would need to be painted or undercoated.
