Re: radiator support removal? (TK715)
not that bad, but you better have some knowledge and patience when lining things up. there are certain tools that make this easier, such as a spot weld drill bit, or tool, there are a few varities that can be found at paint stores (colors, auto paint world, house of colors etc). anways, it can be removed. As for a shop doing it, they would charge what the labor book suggests which would be alot. But, if u take off all the parts and have them remove the radiator support, it will be cheaper for you.
Good luck

Doing the job isnt all that hard. Just break off all the OEM welds w/ a drill bit. Once you have all the welds broken off, the radiator support should fall right off. With the new radiator support in it's place, grab like 3-4 vise grips and find places where you could clamp the radiator support to the chassis of the car. BUT MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS LINED UP BEFORE YOU START WELDING. Once everything looks ok and lined up perfect...start your welding. I was lazy and asked my neighbor how much he will charge me to do the job and he quoted 300 bucks, w/ parts and labor. I was like damn....never mind ill do it myself.
