Default springs

how do i go about removing the springs from the strut without a spring compressor(aka the ghetto way)?

you mean the dangerous way?? you DONT...rent a damn spring compressor. dont have 25 bucks? cheap skate?

i put my foot on the spring make sure the top is ifront of the wall and let it go the strut will shoot backwards but i have never gotten hurt by doing this

I've never used one. When the car is in the air there really isn't any load on the spring.

aim away from you/others,loosen,boing!!!,not alot of installed tension when off car-u'll be aight. (heard some folk wrap large shop towel if scurred) Never used compressor on any of my honda spring swaps...

put a jack under the strut and jack it upthen take off the bolts and slowly let it down and the spring should come off.

Sitting down, hold the strut very tight between your legs, basically in your crotch, and take off the nut with your hands.

orrrrr do it the right way. why bother effin with it when its so damn easy to get the right tools?? laziness.. am i the only one with a job? or an autozone nearby to acquire the tools? craziness!
