what are your comments on this spring compressor? it took three of us to do a job yesterday. it took us four hours just to take off the struts that were already on a civic, and put the stock springs back onto the stock struts.

now what im wondering is IS THIS SPRING COMPRESSOR ANY GOOD FOR REPLACING THE SPRING BACK ONTO THE STRUT? I KEEP HEARING DIFFERENT STORIES. we even had air tools yesterday, but it still took us up to four hours just for one car. we still had one car left but it was too late so we couldnt even work on it.

so please, help me out, i plan to purchase this spring compressor, but i need to find the pros and the cons. is this a spring compressor that would make putting stock springs back onto struts easier than those compressors that you can rent from checkers?

 

I'm not sure about that spring compressor... but you can do them a LOT faster if you have access to an impact gun even with the one you rent from the autoparts store. Otherwise you might want to try getting a socket that will fit onto the spring compressor, and an adaptor so you can spin it with a drill. Both are much faster than doing it with a ratchet. (which I have done before, but it was a painfully slow experience)
