Default What to use for obd 2 B18B1

I've been searching around but I can't find what I'm looking for. The question is what program and ecu can be used to tune a 97 B18B1? I was planning on getting an s300 for my P28 (when I was going to boost my jdm D15B) but I'm not sure if that'd still work for the B...

You'll want to go OBD1 via conversion harness and the P28 will work. S300 is fine if that's what you and your tuner decided is best for you.

Conversion harness meaning the connector that goes between the stock wiring harness and the obd1 ecu right? Also, are there any other ecu options? I was told a 2nd gen teg ecu would work, but I want to double check.

Any OBD1 ECU from a teg or civic, excluding the special model P07s, can be used.

Always check first what software your tuner recommends. This will be the biggest determining factor on how well it will be tuned.

Also, if you do not have an ECU yet, we carry the OBD2A style P28's with S300 pre-installed. This will eliminate the need for a jumper harness altogether as well as any need for you to source an OBD1 ecu and have the S300 installed.

Note how this ECU has OBD2A style plugs built right into the ECU

- This will work with VTEC engines if you ever decide to swap or go LS/VTEC as well as with your B18B1 (your tuner will simply turn off VTEC in Smanager)

Read this & educate your self: http://www.phearable.net/tech/efibeginnerguide.html

Talk to your local honda/acura tuners.
You don't have to spend tons of money on an s300 or neptune rtp system to have your car properly tuned..
Look at the following urls for a local tuner:

http://hondata.com/dealers.html
http://www.ectune.com

Good Luck!

Instead of a new topic, I'll just ask here.

To run blue top DSM 450cc injectors in an obd2 B18B, I'll need these... http://www.phearable.net/shoppingcar...bd1-p-103.html ... Right?

You will need to use a resistor box with low impedance injectors.
Buy $19 injector clips instead if you are hacking up your engine harness for a resistor box:

I would suggest buying precision 440cc high impedance injectors and obd2 injector clip adapters instead of running dsm injectors & a resistor box. You don't know how well your 15 year old dsm injectors are going to flow...

and how do those clips work? Just cut the harness, put the resistors in and go?

Personally, I would use an oem honda resistor box:
http://www.phearable.net/shoppingcar...tor-p-123.html

Then use the diagram on: http://www.phearable.net/tech/wiring/resistorbox.gif

On my civic, back when it was boosted, I just had 4 of those resistor things from Radio Shack (10 volt, 10 ohm or something like that) spliced into the injector wires and it worked fine.
