noob question ls/v on ek...how to wire vtec on stock harness
im sure its been covered a million times but i get pissed off when i dont see anything i need on the search engine
so here is the setup
97 ek hatch cx
im converting a ls.vtec obd1 to obd2, Skunk 2 intake manifold
using the stock harness, i just really dont want to pay 120 bucks for a ex harness when i can do it myself
would really like for someone to direct me with a link

i read up on some info and it looks simple wiring vtec from the vtec pressure switch to the ecu, my question now is...i am using a obd2 to obd1 jumper harness...will i get a 02 cel? will my car get stuck not passing 4k rpm?
What ECU are you going to be using? If you go OBD2 you will need to wire both O2s to the ECU from the exhaust system (one pre cat and one post cat which when using the CX sensors will also need to be extended). You will also need to wire your IACV from 3 wire to 2 wire. You will also need to bypass the CKF sensor by the crank pulley as your OBD1 engine won't have it. You intake air temperature sensor will need to used from the CX engine and placed somewhere in your intake piping as well.

ok i read up on everything there, i will be using a obd1 ecu, so i wont be worrying about the ckp...but what about the iacv? the diagram shown there was a obd2 ecu
you'll still need to wire up a two wire IACV. It might be easiest to wire it directly to the OBD1 ECU or you can do it like the instructions on the bottom of this diagram on the OBD2 side of the harness:

dang this is all confusing
let me get this straight,,,in order for vtec to work on my car i have to literaly run a wire to connect the positive wire on the vtec solenoid directly to the ecu (number 8 on 'A' plug) and ground the other wire?
and the vtec pressure switch, ground one wire and connect the positive to the (number 15 on 'C' plug)? i dont have to worry about the knock sensor and secondary o2 right?
and since i have a obd2 harness i will have a 3 iacv, can i just get the iacv plug from the obd1 harness and just use that?
and i do the same for the primary o2? ground one wire and connect the other directly to the ecu (number 6 on the 'A' plug)?

i have everything, t bracket, mounts, linkage...i hate wires, im new at this, this will be a challenge...i greatly appreciate your time
There are 4 wires but you'll just plug up the primary O2 using the CX harness, there's no extra wiring involved other than having to extend the wires if it doesn't reach the LSV's primary O2 location.
Depending where you are, you probably will never pass with an LS/V to begin with. It's not a stock engine, and not approved in California. You need to get it tuned, and have to do that on obd1, which won't pass emissions on an obd2 car.
