Default How to change a rad in civic 90 h dx

this is my first time doing this, I found a leak between the plastic and the aluminum core, I need to watch a video o anyway to take the lower hose. My friend is selling a new rad for the 90 1.6, Is ok to use it on my 1.5 civic?

The 1.6 radiator should work fine. this is a very simple task, start by draining all your coolant, then simply undo the hoses and brackets, and swap radiators. Refill your cooling system and make sure you bleed the system properly to make sure there is no air trapped in the coolant.

I forgot to tell you my honda is automatic, the new radiator must have those holes for the tranny

I'm guessing the "holes" are to cool the transmission fluid?

yes, I trying to get familiar with the civic 1.5 and 1.6, my civic got those holes for the transmission cooling..

The auto has 2 small lines that come out of the bottom for tranny cooling as mentioned, they are no big deal, just a couple extra hoses to swap over. Many oem style aftermarket rads have the lines at the bottom to fit all applications

some replacement ones dont have the trans cooler holes. I accidentally ordered one, so I had to get a separate trans cooler and hook it up.
