Coolant issues on 2000 civic dx
Ok so when I first got this car I would have to refill the coolant reservoir every 4 days or so. Now the car will barely suck coolant out of the reservoir. I checked one time and saw bubbles coming out of the reservoir where the tube was inserted so I assume it was sucking in coolant, however it was very short and it barely made the reservoir go down. Now I have to open the radiator cap and poor the coolant directly into the radiator. This will let me drive a good 4 days before the car starts to run hot again. Im guessing its something to do with my hose from my radiator to the engine. I bled the system of air bubbles...would I need to do an entire flush? Or is it the coolant sensor gone bad? The car has roughly 175k miles on it.

you shouldn't be filling you over flow tank when filling the system. It is an over flow tank and is not made to put fluid into the radiator. The radiator has a higher pressure thus fluid is not going to be "sucked" through the over flow tank into the radiator. Put the coolant in the filler neck every time. Now check for any leaks in the system

i think i mite have found a leak. there was a substantial wet area right under my car after i poured the coolant in. ill check again in the morning as i am not sure if it was just the extra coolant that spilled over or not.
