People choose to use different products for personal reasons, weather they like the box it comes in better or if they feel more comfortable buying a $400+ product from a company that actually has a brick & motor facility & major corporate backing.
Hondata is not over rated in my opinion & the opinion of many other reputable tuners (Tony1, Chris Harris, Jeff Evans, Shawn Church, the list goes on)
Hondata is a corporation with an actual facility & multiple employees dedicated to specific tasks etc.
R&D is done in house, testing is done in house, technical support is done in house etc.
IMO the additional cost for Hondata s300 versus the competition on the market isn't really all that much.
If you shop around enough, you will find dealers selling s300/ecu bundles for $30-50 more then Neptune/eCtune rtp bundles which isn't a bad deal in my opinion.

People use Mac/Windows instead of Linux which is free & open source? Huh? It's cheaper & does the same thing? Huh?
