HIDs flicker, bad ground?
hey guys. so recently i noticed my HIDs flickering. and my sub is making a rumbling noise when no music is playing. i was told it was a bad ground somewhere. so i checked most the grounds i guess and they all looked fine to me. anyone every encounter this? any help onto what the problem is or where the bad ground is coming from? thanks.
well, i have hid conversion in a 97 bmw, i know its not a honda, but ive noticed that when the hid's are on the radio quality goes down, i get static on stations that i dont when lights are off, but as far as the flickering, my buddy had the same issue on a 86 corolla, just add another ground wire to the one already coming out of the igniter and that should solve the hid flickering issue
Get a relay harness. Don't use your stock sockets because those cannot take the initial surge from the HIDs upon start up and chances are you can fry your wiring. The relay harness has a grounding wire and takes power directly from your battery. Fixes the "flickering" problem and the "when I turn on my HID's one turns on before the other".
where can i get on of these relay harnesses?
and ive used the same type of HID kit on my other 93 accord and never had this problem. the stock wire can take it. i think there mite be a ground missing somewhere or something. im just confused cuz i never ran into this problem before.
