91 civic hb, d16z6 motor/L3 tranny, needs throw out bearing, help?
There is no quick/easy way to do it. Your engine/transmission combo is irrelevant. Remove your transmission and replace the throw out bearing.
im not a ****ing retard , by the way ...
you see you didnt make it clear man you said which way is easy and quick meaning that you want to do it fast and now. but the easiest for me was to jack the car and then drop the tranny.
i think the easiest way is to support the motor with something, remove the axles, take the mounts off the tranny & unbolt it from the engine. It should come out without too much trouble & you won't have to pull the motor.
I have done it that way before and it wasn't too bad.

You did NOT state those two options for comparison and nobody called you anything. You want a question answered, be specific. Ask a vague question you'll get a vague answer.

if you're by yourself just pull the motor and trans through the top, that way you don't have to fight with the trans when you go to put it back on.
might as well replace the clutch while you got everything apart...unless its damn near brand new.. youll kick yourself in the *** if it goes back soon after the release bearing change. if the bearing is bad im guessing the clutch hasnt been changed recently
nah the ******* i bought it from put in a short shifter and stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel(dunno how much lighter) , wellll, he didnt change the throw out bearing for some unknown reason, maybe he thought it was good still? idk.
That is retard Right there! yup. Replace the thing because at the end if it does give out you have to do the same proses all over and it suck doing it again then just replacing it!

I think the cable n hydro throwout bearings are different. Go to Majestic honda's site n see if the part numbers are different between say a 95 ex and a 90 si...
with a helper or not, i HATED fighting the trans to get back in...easiest way would be to pull the motor and do it. would be ALOT easier ha. get your flywheel resurfaced too.
Guy's, are you dropping the front crossmember? Or are y'all wrestling the trans out with the radius rod/cm in the way? Disconnecting all the junk from the engine n pulling it is time consuming and unnecessary.
