Default Finally figured out my idle surge, now need advise

after hours of messing with my turbo gsr's idle surge problems, and hundreds of dollars spent on a new idle air control valve, i finally found the holley tb, that came on my car when i bought it has either bore that isnt perfectly round, or the butterfly is just hanging up somewhere close to fully closed, the car would not surge at idle untill the throttle was hit after starting the car, now that i have found the problem, should i go to a stock gsr throttle body with my skunk 2 intake, or what are my options, im only putting 300 to the wheels, so im pretty sure a stock throttle body will not be a power robber, but any info will be appreciated

Professional Products throttle bodies work great and are inexpensive. They look like and work just like an OEM throttle body. I have had a 68mm on my car for a few years and have installed quite a few with great results. They don't stick like most billet aftermarket throttle bodies because they are cast units and used stamped type linkage identical to OEM.

thanks for the advise, however my question is how well does the stock gsr tb flow, will it restrict my flow being that i have forced induction, i am only running 9 lbs out of a sc61, and my intake piping is 2.5inch into a skunk 2 manifold

You're throttle cable isn't adjusted too tight is it? You should be able to move the cable up and down about 10mm without it moving the throttle blade at all.

no its not the throttle cable, its got plenty of play, once i hit the throttle once after startup, you have to manually press the throttle closed on the tb, for it to close all the way, its just getting hungup at the very end, the car idles great after startup untill you hit the throttle then it wont close all the way

stock tb is fine IMO. my car makes 400whp on stock tb with no problems. upgrades are always nice but not required to make power.
