Default Bilstein B6/B8 Monotube INVERTED shocks

saw these shocks from Bilstein and thought it was pretty interesting. looks like theres not too many common older civic/integra applications. but maybe the front EKs can be made to work. wonder if anyone checking in from europe has any experience with these shocks, on a honda or any other car.

What is the benefit of having the piston body up top and the piston down at the bottom?

I do believe on some cars it has to do with unsprung weight to have inverted shocks.

They are also generally used in McPherson strut applications due to the strut also performing the duty of the steering knuckle as well. The design is much stiffer than a conventional shock. That would also be why you do not see them for double wishbone cars as well.
