Default could somebody tell me...

im building a gsr engine, NA of course cuz i think its sxxy, but the whole reason i started this build is so i could gain knowledge, through experience, of tuning. i want a program that allows me to adjust fuel mappin etc, because my goal is to have a very power effecient engine in my civic. however the other day my friend from work came by and showed me his power programmer for his new dodge ram. i told him his truck is gay and his little gameboy looking thing is gay too but it got me thinking. what if there was a tuning program i could apply to my p28 ecu that allowed me to change performance on the go? like a stage 1, 2, 3 thing. Economy, mid-range, and all out, where all three stages could have been pre tuned by me. and then what if there was a way to have these three stages controlled by a toggle switch... does anybody out there know if such a thing exists? btw the only experience i have with anything so far is just from what my friend showed me with his hondata s300...i havent seen anything from anybody else...

The Hondata S300 is a great system if within your budget, but will require a laptop to be connected to upload a different program.

The next best option is to use a standard chipped P28 and install the Moates 2 Timer like we offer here. The 2 Timer allows you to load 2 programs on one chip (using Crome or similar software and a chip burner). You would then be able to use a dash mounted switch feeding a ground signal to the 2 timer. When you flip your switch, you'd switch to the other 'half' of the chip to run your alternate program. You will still need to fully tune your car though and ideally each varying tune would be setup with the ideal perameters and programmed to the chip.
