my bro just got a jvc kwaux730 and its brand new, i hooked it up today (cuz hes a retard) and the radio plays good, good sound. but when i put a dvd in i see the video (which looks great) but no sound. the same with a cd, it plays on the deck but no sound. he has an 02 rxs-s btw
Ditto... right now, you're using the power antenna wire to turn on the cars factory amp, so it only has 12volts when you're on am/fm, as soon as you change sources, that wire no longer has voltage. Gotta turn on that factory bose amp in that rsx-s.

so how would i hook up the remote wire for the new subs in the trunk? can anybody tell me where to run the power wire to the battery, i see nowhere at all that i can run the wire thru the firewall
just tie both wires into the blue wire with the white stripe on the head unit harness.
as for running the power wire...you're just gonna have to find a spot or drill one.

If I remember correctly, I've drilled above where the clutch pedal goes to the firewall in those cars... If you drill, just make sure you have clearance on the other side of the firewall.
Whatever you do, don't try routing that thing through fender!!! If you're not sure about it, call up a shop, and see if they will drill a hole for you. I've done this for several customers for just a cpl bucks at my shop. If you drill a hole, make sure you use a grommet.
Just don't be one of those guys that says, "can you just run the wires for me, I know how to hook it up on my own." and try getting a discount, lol! Running the wires is the hard stuff, lol!

Dude, I've got drawers full of them. If u gave them $10-$20 bucks to drill u a hole, I would hope they give u one. It takes like 3 mins, and the grommets cost me like 11cents each... I'm sure a shop would b able to take care of it u. I look at it like, if I take care of u for something that comes so easy for me, that you'd prob come see me again next time u need something else...
