Hydro and cable clutches interchangable?

Default Hydro and cable clutches interchangable?

Are cable trans. clutches the same off a hydro trans.?

Found a cheap used exedy clutch off a hydro y8 that I'd like to throw in my 90 si.

Everything will work except for the release bearing.

All 2WD D-series engines and transmissions from '90-00 use the same clutch disc, pressure plate, and pilot bearing. 2WD D-series flywheels are interchangeable from '90-00 as well. The release bearing is different for cable actuation ('91 and older) vs. hydraulic ('92 and newer).

Awesome! Thanks! So pretty much it will bolt right up, except I would have to buy a new release bearing for cable application?
