1992 LS cable ys1 transmission,
on the arm that the cable attaches too how much should it move before the bearing hits the PP?? i'm not talking about cable adjustment, just when moving it by hand w/o the cable attched.

the amount that it should move is hand and hand with the age of the presure plate.

new presure plate will be more than an old presure plate

the clutch has about 12k on it, i just replaced the release bearing spring and noticed the arm moves about 2/3 of the way from bottom to top before hitting the PP

Hook up the clutch cable and adjust it so that there is 3/4" to 1" free play at the pedal.
