So my car looks like shit...
It looks like **** and i'm going over my options

i know the taillights are ****ed and since this they have been replaced along with the side mouldings
Option 1 I really love this look and i think it would hold up alot better than most matte jobs

Option 2 Good ole bc/cc
but what are good paint types?

i was looking at that website but it looks hella sketchy but i cant find anyone who has used their products online
Any suggestions or feedback/hate is appreciated

I have used the OMNI line from PPG on a few cars and it is pretty good overall for the price. It also seems like any time I read about a good DIY paint job they use OMNI...
I don't think vinyl would nessesarily hold up any better than a real paint job, it doesn't really make great sense.
It would hold up better than a rattle can of black primer, yes, but not better than a real paint job.

its not as cheap as people think. its not just a black base coat that is sprayed on a car and then called a day.
at least around here they only flat color applications are made by "hot hues" i think house of kolor stil makes some but they went awol with thier chameleon paints.
to the op imo just take the time to learn on your car how to at least prep it and have a good shop do the spray job for you. omni brand paint will work wonders for the cost. i try to stay away from the nason or dupont if possible just cause the paint is so thin.

right now i wanna start with primers and sealers (kinda to get my car one color and to block it so i can see all my low spots)

I have used these guys paints before and it worked great: KemFx Custom Car Paints. It looks and acts a lot like HOK at like half the price. They've got chameleon paint kits, candy paint kits, basecoat clearcoat kits and I see they have a Hot Rod Black. The cost is normally even less than a normal OEM color in
OMNI or Nason.
If you don't like the custom colors and just want a normal OEM color then ProSpray would be my choice for an affordable option. Prospray and KemFx cover better than OMNI to me. I haven't tried the Omni Plus though.
