Default Will a p72 work

I'm looking for a Stock ecu to use when i go for emissions It's a obd2 civic with a b16a swaped in it. I plan on putting the stock map sensor and sock injectors in and run a stock ecu to hopfully pass emissions Will a p72 work I know it's a b series but not a b16

p72 is a GSR ecu. Why not just get a stock b16 ecu? Makes more sense

What ecu are you currently running? And yes the only obd2 b16 ecu is the 99-00 Civic SI. A JDM b16 might do the trick

It's a jdm p30 but when it comes times for emissions i plan on converting the injectors and map sesnor back to stock and looking for some OBD2 ecu to run the engine which out throwing a cel and still allowing me to use the diaganostic port under the dash

You're throwing a CEL with the JDM p30?

Im not sure about that either. My buddy has a 97 EK and he uses a jdm p30 ecu for emissions. One of my other buddies with a 92 Civic running an obd2 GSR also uses the jdm p30 for emissions. I understand that obd1 cars dont need the scanner, but with the JDM p30 it makes his car run lean but also passes emissions.
