Default ECU Question

Will a 99-2000USDM Si ECU work on a normal obd2 connectors from a 97 civic ex?

I got a b16a2 swap, hence why i need the ecu, but some1 told me 99-00 si's use obd 2.5 (obd2a), and wont work with my version of the obd2.

Help?
