im pretty sure you dont have lsd, acura didnt put a lsd in any ls tranny. any b series tranny will fit your motor and you wont have to change anything such as axles or the linkage. depending on how you drive you need to figure out which tranny you want. if you do a lot of hwy driving then stay away from the b16/itr tranny and get either a gsr or ls tranny.

note- there is no 6 speed tranny that will bolt to a b series motor so go and slap that person who told you that because they are wrong.

Any B16/B18 5-speed trans. will work.
No the B18B1 didn't come with an LSD trans.
No 6-speed will bolt up to a B-series.

I'd just like to further clarify this by saying make sure you get a hydro tranny, the older cable trannys will bolt up to your engine but you'll have to get a set of aftermarket mounts and a hydro to cable conversion kit.

Get a gsr or b16 hydro tranny. Shorter gearing and will haul *** with that ls motor you have!

do not get a b16 tranny if you drive on the freeway like stated. waaayyy too short for the everyday cruising at 70-100. IMO. i like my GSR tranny, it felt like a big performance upgrade from my haggard *** LS... LS trannys are a bit long... and yeah, that friend of yours is quite wrong... there is no 6-speed b series tranny

Gsr was a great transmission for my car when I had a B18B1 in it. You will not be disappointed with the GSR tranny.

I also agree with going with a gsr, youll get the some what sort gears like a b16, but rpms will be lower on the high way.

Or if you have some money to spend, try find a type r transmission. Then youll have factoy lsd.

My dx is over 1000 rpm lower lol, but back to the thread. That still is pretty high, the gsr is a great tranny just for that. Great around town, and not terrible on the highway.
