I would get a e90 328i, 330i, or if money permits 335i 6spd. They are becoming more and more affordable with each day. Or the New Mustang GT 2011, not any other year. But those a 30k+

Sorry buddy but in these times. 20k does not equal a new SPORTS CAR... maybe some thing ghey like a Scion TC. Your going to need atleast 30k and up to get a decent performing sports car new from the dealership. Now in the used market is all going to be based on whether your ok with hige mileage or not. Heck a high mileage 350z or corvette will still run you over 20. Maintenance costs add up real quick

20k or less, 2drs, and sporty?

My top choices (in no specific order and all used of course) would be; an S2k, a BMW E30, a Lexus SC, or a Kouki 240. It would come down to which specific deal I found first regarding any of those cars.

Soooo many choices in the OPs price range. Off the top of my head:

350z
C5 Corvette
GTO
SN197 Mustang GT
G35
E36/E46 M3
330i ZHP
S2000
Z4 3.0
RX-8
Mazdaspeed Miata

...and that's just including RWD 2 doors. There are alot of sporty sedans and hot hatches you cen get for $20k as well.
