When you say hesitation, does your tach bounce under acceleration? If so, its usually that your ignitor wire has a poor connection. Pull off your distributor cap and rotor. Then pull off each wire and crimp down the opening on the wire ends. You may also want to add a little dielectric grease to make the connection better. I have had this problem with a number of b16a's and my old b17a1.
yes spark plugs and oil are good and no bouncing in the tach i just found out its running on a stock P28 with OBD0 to OBD1 jumper harness and a OBD1 LS dizzy...if i put a OBD1 DOHC VTEC Dizzy will it run better? and by hesitation i mean it sputters till about 5000RPM n then its accelerates fine but NO VTEC and VTEC IS WIRED!!
