I have no speedometer or odometer reading on my speedometer guage . Somtimes the speedometer needle jumps between 0 and 20 mph. The OBD 2 meter shows code for problem with VSS. How do I test VSS to find problem?

 

Have you checked whether fuse 15 is blown?

 

Fuse is good.

 

The VSS has three wires - power, ground, and signal. Does the Blk/Yel power wire have voltage with the key in ON(II), and does the Blk ground wire have continuity to body ground?

Does the Blk/Wht signal wire have an open between the VSS and ECU or a short in any of its branches (ECU, speedo, cruise control)?
