Default compression testing, what numbers should i be looking for?

hey guys, im currently running a b20b bottom end with a b18c1 head, vtec set up in my 2000 gsr. Since ive owned it,since last spring, it seems to be getting slower and slower. Ive replaced: fuel filter, cap, rotor, plugs, and checked ignition timing. I had a slight increase when i did everything but its still not as fast as it used to be. So my next decision is to do a compression test. To disable the ignition what should i do? i checked a hanes manual and i couldnt find anything to help me.

Also with the jdm b20b bottom end, what compression numbers should i be looking for?

Thanks for any help guys

its the big connector in the back off the distributor(if your looking str8 into the motor). Also try to unconnected the fuel pump.

Just warm up your motor, run the test and post the numbers. Also later could do the leakdown test.

I had the same setup before. Not any particular number but look for consistency. I had 180psi straight across the board. Just a general number for you to be around I guess. But all you need to do is disconnect your distributor and take out all your plugs. Step on the gas pedal for WOT and crank it. Do it in intervals of 10 seconds or so.

make sure the engine is warm, you can have 30-50psi of difference cold to hot. an old gsr motor i had was 140 cold and 180 warm.
