Grind the block to fit turbo?
I have a b18bLS with a t3/t4 turbo with a Spoolin performance LOG manifold. Everything fit fine with no issues. Then i bought another manifold which is the InlinePro log style (ac compatible) manifold and when i install it, a piece of the block seems to be in the way. Can i just grind down that piece and be fine? I tried clocking the turbo but it still dosent fit.
does your turbo have a 4 or 5-bolt exhaust hosuing? it is fairly common to have to "notch" the block with that style manifold. The 4-bolt exhaust housing may require alot of shaving and can get kinda sketchy

^^ It is the right manifold. That manifold cost me little over 400$. what are you talking about. I know this problem has accured to many other turbod guys. Im trying to keep my a/c and p/s. If i wasnt i would just flip the turbo the other way and call it a day.
the manifold is technically designed for a 5-bolt turbo but you should be ok with notching the webbing. just be careful that you dont have to start grinding the engine stamp area too much.
