need help eliminating srs light with personal wheel
i have a personal wheel that i am going to install in my 00 civic dx. Id like to know how to get rid of srs light and wire the horn. If anybody can help i would appreciate it. Thanks in advance......
You are gonna have to unplug the connector for the SRS unit in the back of the cluster. I think it's the 2-pin, yellow plug. For the horn, get a tab piece off a CRX or DA Integra and wire it up, some people use pen clips also. There are a few threads about it on here.
this only works to reset the srs system to remove a light but it will pop right back on once the system doesn't see the airbag plugged in for the steering wheel what i did on my civic was unplugged the srs harness from the rear of the cluster there for it never receives the signal to turn on the light
There's a write up on it somewhere its in my favorites on my comp ill post in the morning im on my phone now....it shows the exact resistor to use as a jumper for the srs plug so your light stays off and your passenger bag still works.
indeed there is a writeup :p
