are you talking about the orings that seal the spark holes? I would just check em every once and awhile. if you pull the plug wire and there oil on it at all they arent sealing. but I cant imagine that it would matter that much.

Well as long as its not leaking it doesnt really matter. But when you take off the valve cover, its going to break the paint lol

It will be fine, and there is no reason it should leak. It will probably look kind of cheap as in it was just over sprayed.

Why wouldn't you spend 5 mins and just removed the valve cover plugs, and tape off a couple spots? I just did one about a month ago when doing a head gasket job, so easy!

that would have something to do with your actually valve cover gasket. are all the bolts torqued correctly

Nice red valve cover, now sand off the paint over the lettering and spray a clear over it

you can easily over torque those bolts , just hand tighten to tight with a socket then just a little hair more, that's all or SNAP will happen

very true. it's really not that hard to do it the right way. i've done numerous covers and i currently have 3 d-series and 3 ls valve covers of my own lol.

my red y8 cover

and my ls covers.

they've also been white, black, yellow, candy apple red, and metallic green lol.
