that's an awful start.

How long do you plan on this motor lasting?

yeah at first we tried putting in the h beam rod and piston but notice we have to notch the block for clearance for the rods. so i guess we took everything out.

well atleast you have it out now, a flat rate engine rebuild isnt going to cut it for something like this. and i hope you plan on taking some stuff to the machine shop even if you aren't getting anything balanced atleast have the cylinders cleaned up.

BTW, you should probably either employ the use of a tripod, or atleast a camera man without uncontrollable seizures.

i hear ya, i would just hate to see someone put forth so much effort into something and have it all go to **** to cut a few corners. If it's something like this and you don't have the money, save. If you don't have the money now you definitely won't when you have to do it the second time.

i have done this build several times. i hated notching the block next time i do it i am just boring the block much easier and you don't have to worry about the block getting weak because you gotta take off so much metal when notching it. and you should get well over 200 whp i made 260 whp on 11lbs with built bottom and intake mani. as long as you got a good tuner you should see good numbers and be able to have it last at least a year but possibly even longer depends on how you treat it.

lemme know if you need and info about building it.

oh damn thats nice. i may need some tips. after notching the damn block, is it a guareentee taking the block to go get it rehoned. acl main bearing should be good, i just want to take my time and do it good the first time no second time and the car im hoping it to last me for at least two three years. i dont beat on cars only at times when ppl bugs ya.

i've never done a D, i've always been a B kinda guy, so when it comes to notching your block and what not i can't help ya. Your power goal seems pretty reasonable and it should be a very fun car.
