thats called the plug tube seal, they usually come w/ the valve cover gasket kit, or you can buy them individually. take the valve cover off and they are pressed into it from the underside.

no chief im pretty sure you have to take off the valve cover off and replace all the gaskets in the valve cover not just the 4 that r broken no sense in doing a job twice

Re: broken spark plug seal? (existanzcivicb20)
i bought http://www.partsamerica.com/Pr...set=A
this is not the part i need
these fit easily around my thumb, what i need would be like an impossibly tight fit around my pinky finger. i think i can take these back to the local store for a refund atleast.
if i could get pointed to where i can buy what i need that would be really awsome. thanks
p.s.: i think i need the small ones in this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

no you need the big ones that will slide over your thumb. the small ones go on the valve cover bolts, if its leaking oil in the spark plug tube you need the half dollar sized gaskets.

sounds like the piece thats on the end of the spark plug wire itself. that wont cause oil to leak into the tubes, just keep the moisture off the plugs.

Re: (schardbody)
i repalced the half dollar sized tube seals and oil does not leak anymore. But i am not sure where that other little ring is located at, it doesnt look like anything is missing off of the spark cable but ill examine closer.

if you could explain it a little better we can figure out what it is. maybe just the old piece of tube seal, they dry rot, break off and fall down into the spark plug tube.
