Default Looking for info on modified PerformerX Manifolds

I''ve been drawing up designs for shortening the runners on a PerfX for sometime now but haven't quite had the chance to get around to making it happen. While looking up some info a few months back i saw someone who has done this and noted great results over a victorX. Anyone have any info on modified PerfX manifolds?

I PM'd him...no response. I know i saw a pic that he had of a perfX that was modded up real nice.

BTW: Mikeyspec Intake manifold testing Version 2.0(L) is currently in progress.

13:1 85X89 - portflow head- profab header- Skunk pro 3....e85

So far Endyn CF Air > Victor X

Next is a CNC ported ITR.

Maybe i'll do a thread on it. If people here on H-T still care about that kind of stuff. I think i'd raise more eyebrows if i posted about bike racks or a wire tuck.

I hate the new H-T.

I think what you're seeing Mikey is the many knowlegeable people have just been lying low. They are still around and reading the boards but rarely post because a lot of the good tech has already been done and many have moved on to K-series or got out of the game altogether. There's also been a lot of fighting on the board which turns everyone off as well. I'd be willing to bet, that if you posted tests like you did before, you'd see a number of people resurface. Natural Aspirations is usually around from time to time. You could try PM'ing Combustion Contraption and pick his brain about that pic you saw.

I would like to see a build thread. I care less about a wire tuck or a freaken bike race that they will never use....

Good stuff guys...

I have a few pretty interesting tests that i'll find time to post up on..

some more 93 vs. q16 vs. e85

K series Intake mani tests....AFI vs. RRC

This nutty Bseries I/M test that will be done tonight.

I'd love to contribute again and help get this forum alive again.

BearsEk? B19coupe? DonF? CC? 92TypeR? Diesel? All M0T0R?

Same motor as mine i'd like to know how those manifolds work out, i currently have a victorX i'm porting out right now with a 70mm tb thats all port matched so i'm excited to see..

i'm still here...always been here.. Once my shop bills and everything are in ordered and we finally get our place finalized i'll be happy to do test week in and week out, with our dyno, i wont hold out.. thats for sure.
You wont see donf on here tho, but I will tell him you said hey , we do talk just about everyday.

IF i could afford a CF manifold, i'd get one.

To answer tho, you take roughly 2 inches off the runners off the perfX and your peak goes up, the runners are just too long to make any power above 8300rpms.. just.. not enough veolcity flow i guess..
On these manifold test.. are these bone stock manifolds or are they ported or port matched.. reason i'm asking is cause.. it seems like on bigger motors, like mine and yours.. the victor really shines.. donf told me to try a pro series manifold.. but i've been reluctent to switch manifolds.
I'd like to see the victor x vs the pro series on your motor.. since we have almost the exact same setup.. except i have pro2's you have pro3.

After that post i ran the car at the track and for some reason it ran the same numbers as before, so i took the perfom x manifold that i had before and did some work on it and like natural aspiration said you will be sorprise on what the perfom x manifold can do with some work. I dont have any pics of the work done to the manifold but will take some of the finish product tomorrow and post them here. I will also let you know how it perform at the track in about week or so.

Victor X did poorly against the endyn CF. The endyn CF didnt create as nice as a powerband as the CNC'd ITR mani.

Results with details will be posted tomorrow when i wake up.

Also goofy intake tubing testing was done.

G'nite.
