Re: ported performance x vs victor x comparison
The Victor X is more suitable for your setup anyways. I traded my Victor X to All_Motor for his Performer X. He's also running a b20vtec. He got better results for the Victor X as per All_Motor said he was already maxxing out the Performer X manifold.

I tried the Perf vs Victor comparison on my personal two liter (12:1, ported head, pro2's full exhaust), and the Perf was better all over the place. Even up top. We only took the motor up to 8500rpm. Both manifolds had the same mods, TB and gasket matched, not cut open or anything.

No, I did the comparison, just never got around to posting it up. They were neck in neck up top, by which I mean from 7500-8500.

Maybe you should experiment it. It would be interesting

Re: ported performance x vs victor x comparison
I know what each manifold is designed for. Thats why I tested them. I cant test them any further, because as the posts above indicate, I sold the car. If the Victor X was going to be THAT much better at 9k, it would have started showing at 8500. The Victor might have also wanted a larger TB than I was running, 68mm, but I'll never know.
p.s. if somone doesnt mind hacking up a manifold, i bet they would find it interesting to knock a few inches off the perf X runners, reweld it back up and run it. Might be surprised.

Have you seen the results from that? I believe I sent you the pictures but I never herd back on how it did.

Re: ported performance x vs victor x comparison
It would have similar length or slightly shorter runners but a greater plenum volume than the Skunk. When you look at the two side by side that's the biggest difference between the two intakes (as well as slightly longer runners). If I had the time and facilities, I would love to test different sized intake manifolds like the P30, ITR style, Performer X, Victor X etc. with different sized throttle body combinations to see what happens. I believe that there's power to be gained in this area, just like a custom length intake pipe but obviously a lot more risk and money involved when you chop up expensive parts.

Re: ported performance x vs victor x comparison
that looks like it could be the perfect balance there of runner length and plenum size for a decent 2 liter build. Was any plenum work done to it?

Dan is smart. I wish I could have more customers like him.
I'll post more about the modded perf X later tonight.

Re: ported performance x vs victor x comparison
i wonder if a t-body spacer would play any role in it that could help or harm
