have been having intermittant starting issues. I replaced the solenoid but still have problem. It will start if I run wire from battery to solenoid. I am only getting 4 v at solenoid when trying to start normally. I switched places with the start cut relay, you can feel it click when key is moved to start. I am getting 12 volt at wire connector coming through firewall that goes to solenoid with solenoid disconnected, but 4v if connected??????

 

Your starter may be bad.
