D16z6 8 psi how much HP should I be expecting?
Heres what I got done to it for now theres no turbo.
D16z6
stock rods
stock pistons
ARP headstuds
port and polished head
port matched intake manifold
stock cam, valves, valve springs,retainers
aftermarket Fuel pressure regulator
stock fuel rail,injectors
I plan on boosting about 8 lbs. with nothing special not a gt28 or anything just something like an eclipse turbo so im guessing around 147-160 but with a p&p job how much more would that add I was told 15% but I just wanted some other opinions

being turbo specific (eg. a 14b), on that type of boost you can probably expect 170, maybe a bit more... Just make sure your engine is in good condition (do a compression test) and make sure it's good and strong prior to boosting...
15% on a p&p - definitively not
Believe it or not most p&p jobs customers show up at the dyno with actually make less power then a stock head. Not many people know how to effectively port a head...
Do your self a favor, save your money. Buy a map sensor, fuel injectors, fuel pump & turn the boost up.

thanks for the input. The engine is re-built, rods were refurbished, new bearings crankshaft was turned, block was honed, all that. I believe in my friends p&p job he explained to me where most people go wrong with it and the correct ways of doing it, he's a high performance tech but we dont have access to a dyno so we don't know. I just thought about that today too to get some injectors and fuel pump while i'm still N/A
a flow bench will tell the story on a P&P job... If you can find someone with some proven results it might be worth a look (perhaps your friend has some flow bench results?)
