Default Turbo charging stock D16Z6

im in the process of getting a T3/T4 turbo charger and was wondering if i could run the system with a few pounds on a stock D16Z6 or do i need to do a little more work? it just a daily driver not trying to make it wild yet just testing the waters.

Still not enough info. And it's power/torque that breaks things, not pounds.
I see failure already.

Op...go to the forced induction forum and read thru the faq's. With the knowledge you seem to have, or the lack there of, you shouldn't be messing with a turbo kit.

I'm not a turbo expert, just wanted to say that first...

I understand that stock rods on these engines are generally good to 200ish HP so take that into consideration. Most important other than a hard number for lbs/boost or HP is your ability to make the engine "tunable." I'd address that before anything else.

GReddy's bolt on kit back in the day was based off of an otherwise stock engine but the turbo was fairly small.

then what info do you need to know. ive been reading other articles on turbocharging but was just asking if it would hurt the motor to turbo and run a few pounds with stock rods pistons compression or not.

POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH does not BREAK engine parts.

HORSEPOWER does.

So a better question would be how much horsepower will my d16z6 handle under boost.
And more info is needed to even give our .02.

Like mileage on enegine, compression test results, etc etc

Can it be done? Yes. Goto the FAQ's section and do some browsing chapter 6. You'll be looking for this area here:

Yes you can do it, just make sure the motor is healthy and do a leakdown test. You dont need to mess with the valves or compression. You dont even need aftermarket headbolts.

Whatever you do dont cheap out on the tune, Go to a reputable tuner. This is the key to keeping the stock motor together.
