Default Compression Test Results B16a2

Motor B16a2 Completely Stock w/ 132k miles

The results are as follows:
-140
-140
-130
-145

From what I know these results are in the normal wear in tear range for a motor w/ that kind of mileage. The motor was warm, would that have made a difference on the results? Any other input is welcome.

Thanks HT

I can't say if it being warm or not would effect it, becuase I don't know.
But, my friends b16a2 with around 90k put 220psi+ across the board.

Correct me if wrong but honda say's 130 or so psi is the lowest?

with the motor warm you get the highest numbers vs it being cold. your supposed to do it warm.

i would start preparing for a lil rebuild. fresh gaskets, rings, and bearings. those numbers are playing with the low end range

Did you have the throttle open when you did the test? Those numbers are pretty low.

I was just cranking the motor... I don't think it was WOT now that I think about it. How big of difference is that gonna make?

My freind did that when he did his, the numbers were considerbly lower then wide open.
Try doing it again but drop a little oil in each.

yes, have the trottle at wot and the fuel pump disabled.

take the readings like that, then squirt a bit of oil in each cylinder and do it again - if the numbers after the oil rise, then your rings are going... if not, then it is a valve related issue...
