At ECU connector B, what resistance do you measure between B11 and B12? Have you tested for a short to ground at terminals B11 and B12?

i appreciate that. is it 350-700 ohms ?

short to ground would be continuity between body ground and b11 or b12 -correct?

have not used a tester in awhwile. what does the symbol look like on the meter to test for continuity? just looked at it and cant remember.

would jumping a wire between 4,8 on dizzy plug to b11,b12 ecu plug eliminate any need to test the harness? dony know what the circuit looks like and could not find it searching. not very good with electrical stuff.

thanks

on another note- is it ok to use ANY OBD1 LS DIZZY?

441 ohms.

cant figure it out. troubleshooting flowcharts are not helping. they say test continuity to ground. test resistance. change ecu. change dizzy. did all of it. still get the code.
car has a slight miss too.

441 Ohms between b11 and b12, right?

With the distributor plug connected, now test for a short to ground individually at b11 and b12. Again set the multimeter to read Ohms on a low Ohm scale such as 20 or 200 Ohms. Touch one meter probe to b11 and the other to body ground. Do the same for b12. What are your readings?

i put it on the beep setting and tested for continuity to ground individualy on b11 and b12 with the dizzy plugged in. the ecu was not plugged in. does that make a difference? i will do it again on low ohm setting. got no continuity on beep setting though.

another mechanic looked at it. did a "bunch of tests". dont know what. proly the same stuff i have done. no solution.
i cannot even think of a way to "rig up" a fix.

need some quirky honda info.
does the dizzy share a ground with something else?
getting the wiring diagram tomorrow.
will test for continuity to ground again but dont think thats it. unless it is an intermittent break.

having to think alot on this one. who wants to think with me?

anyone have a problem like this with another dizzy code or even another sensor? any ideas even if they seem unrelated.?

Do the distributor and engine match with the ECU?

Are CYP wires correctly pinned to the ECU?

stock 93 sol harness. b11 and b12 in the cvorrect spot. ecu plugs were uncut till i cut them and ran b11 and 12 directly to the dizzy. the engine harness is not a 93. it has a map sensor plug and the 93 sol has the map sensor plug coming from the shock tower area of the chassis harness. the chassis harness map plug is the one being used. no code for that though.
the ecu is a 92 pr4.
the dizzy is a 92 ls teg reman.
motor is a jdm b20 1996.

new cap. new wires. new ngk plugs.checked valve clearance. compression 170-180-180-180 . 4-3-2-1. timing is right. cam sprockets tight. balancer tight. scraped engine grounds to new metal.

is there any issue with that motor and 92 ls dizzy and/or ecu?i know the fuel maps are not perfect. is not the head the same as an ls?would not the timing be the same?

motor had an obd2 gsr dizzy with the ears cut off(held in by one bolt) and threw code 9 with all else equal. also tried everything else with this dizzy before switching to the new reman.

cant think of anything else that is relevant. everything checks out but the car misses and throws this code.
really getting angry now. have not gotten wiring diagram yet. will get it this weekend.

any luck on this yet? I have the same problem with my 94 civic with B18a1 in it and PR4 ecu. I think it's my ECU.
