Default I FAILED at seafoam FMFL

I tried putting 1/3 the seafoam in thru the vac line from the brake booster and 1/3 in the oil filler... no smoke NONE! i called the FKERS at sea foam and he said "yah! thats great! enjoy it!" Im like wtf no smoke at all atleast a alittle fart cloud from the exhuast....

It says money back guaranteed.. Im gonna take the 1/3 thats left back.. or i was thinking of using the last 1/3 again thru the vac line

I think i failed because it let the vac line suck it in too slowly.. anyone know if this could be the reason?

Thanks in advance.... keep ur bs to urself plz thanks

did you suck it in through the brake booster, then wait 10min then start the car?

exactly what he said. i did my seafoam treatment through the brake booster vacuum as well. started the car to let it suck it through until the bottle was empty, put the hose back on the brake booster, waited 5-10 until start up & took it may 5 seconds & it rans its course. worked awesome & smoked like crazy for about 30 min.

its the better way. The second response was "did he wait ten minutes" The waiting ten minutes is a key part to the process. However, it should still have smoked while he was adding. My car will smoke the whole time im doing it. Also...do it on a hot engine

it's a large vac line into the intake manifold so that's the way it'll get the most in the fastest

As in the only vacuum it would work with? I'm not sure but thats the only way i've ever done it.
And as for what else you can use seafoam for: Gas treatment i believe and oil

All vacuum lines run into the intake manifold and ultimately through the valves and then into the cylinder so yes any vacuum line theoretically would work, but as I said being the largest the Vacuum boost hose works the best.

yah I waited 10mins then started it... was expecting a big smoke cloud but nothing... I also changed the oil after... gonna run it for about a week

I recall reading If i added it too slow which I did it would just burn up in the engine thus having no effect on cleaning the carbon build up

Then if no smoke then your engine is clean. LOL When I do seafoam, I usually have a friend rev the engine a bit higher in case it dies out.

i had read the back of a can today. seems like there were about 10 different ways to use it. i think i'm going to try it.

Note: O'Reilly auto parts is selling it for 6.99 a can right now. normally it's 10 bucks.

i've thought about trying seafoam but i've also read horror stories where it's actually made things a lot worse i.e. taken a decently running engine and caused it to now burn oil

I have used seafoam when i first purchased my del sol. used about 1/2 the can and waited ten minutes. smoked like a son of a gun after that until i drove it all out had people covering their noses when i drove by them heading out to a country road to clear out the ol girl. never burned oil before or after. i have heard the horror stories as well.

I just seafoamed my car, used booster, BUT i did it while its running, put my hand on throttle and rev'd while i was adding seafoam, let the car run while i did it. It was smoking like mad, then i put most of it in, then let the car sit for a tad, started up did it again and drove till smoke stopped..then took the intake off, and with car off sprayed into the intake with spray seafoam, and then started and did it more, and then ran the car again till smoke went away....

Never have done it when the car is OFF.
do it with your car running
