Default Hard lines for Oil Feed???

I know that some people have used hard lines for coolant to turbos, but what about using hard lines for oil? Something similar to the stainless lines used for direct port nitrous systems? Obviously it would be for the oil feed. Any ideas on if this would work, along with line inner diameter? Would i be better of using braided lines the whole way?

There's no reason it wouldn't work, but using a braided line is just easy -- so, take your pick. I used a -3an brake line that was the perfect lenght. I got it online somewhere for 20$ shipped -- just search around for -3an lines. Then use a brass tee and nipple. Setup done for under $30.

I have seen it done with hard (brake) lines. 3/16" is a good size. Sucks to work on a setup like this though because you either have to bend the line or remove the whole thing to get at the turbo.

My oil feed is a "brake line". It works fine and cost like $4. lol
I'm going to upgrade to SS lines though just because.

yea, since we build racebikes, i have an ample supply of stainless braided line, the only problem is the fittings are designed for banjo bolts. The orifice in the bolt is designed for pressure, not flow. so i dont think that would work, any ideas?

how small is the orifice? In some cases, restricting flow at the turbo is beneficial...(oil restrictors)...it might not be a bad setup. I'm using a banjo bolt on my feed line. But, it's the big banjo union that comes with the greddy kit.
