Suspension guru's...I need your help
I am in a dilema...H&R coilover's or koni yellow+springs
well to be honest I have a deal on some H&R coilover's..not the cup kit, the real ****, but I am worryed I hear they're soft, and the shox aren't adjustable...so I am debating going the koni yellow and probally some H&R race springs OR *depends how hte cash flows at the time* some ground controls...
now the way I am lookin at it now is that if I get koni I can always go ground controls and that will help me out or just non-adjustable springs...but if I get the H&R's and I dont like them I am screwed...but the Koni' I never heard anything bad about them, and if they work for everyone that good, they'er gona work for me, I am not a winer
the H&R's I amg etting 1000$ Canadian with a lifetime warranty ... koni yellow's + springs gonna net me about 1300$ CDN...which I guess is near my limit
what would suspension guru's do in this case? please help I only have 2 days to make up my mind
I would love to get tein's but the lifetime warranty scares me for some reason, they dont come with one from my understanding :/
also this car is gonna be auto-xed once a while, and driven hard on the street all the time (not hard as in retarded but hard as in off-ramp's and stuff), so it's not a all our race beast, nor is it a carpet queen...it's gonna be for fun, and frankly ride qulaity I dont care about

useless postno...useless post
get a clue leb.look, just get whatever you can afford. and do a little fingerwork and find out what other ppl are running and suit your own needs. this is hardly a "dilemma" of a situation.

How about stock springs and struts and CDN$1000-1300 of tuition? Savings account? Lots of autocrosses? Help Jerry's kids?
What I would do FIRST is to figure out EXACTLY what you want from your suspension pieces (e.g., adjustable shocks, adjustable ride height, getting the exact spring rates you want, etc...). In other words, I wouldn't leap at the H-R coilovers just because someone is dangling them in front of your face. If they're not what you wanted in the first place, what good are they to you? Get want YOU want, not what's convenient at this very moment...
I thoght I would put my two cents in since no one else would. Go with an adjustable shock made for the ground control coil over sleeves and Eibach ERS with custom rates. Choose the rates you want based on the info you get from people with similar car/chassis. H&R does not sound like a good investment. Good luck.
