Default Need some help front the ls/vtec pros

hey guys i am trying to put together a reliable ls/vtec this is going to be my setup, i want to build something reliable and that makes fair power, if you guys suggest i change my setup please let me know what you would change. my setup will be.

B18b1 block 81.5mm
ACL race bearings
new main bearings
Ls crank
ls rods
arp rod bolts
arp head studs
p73 itr pistons
GSR head with a thinner headgasket for a bit more compresseion

planning to do a built head but want to be able to run pump gas its going to be my daily
planning on like skunk 2 stage 2 cams with springs and retainers and a aftermarket intake mani

im going to stick with the ls crank, what rods would you guys suggest to use gsr or ls??

With an LS crank you must use LS rods, or aftermarket ones. OEM vtec spec rods will not fit an ls crank at all. Vtec rods have 9mm bolts and your LS crank has 8mm holes for 8mm bolts, maybe someone has made some franken-mess of that, but if you want a reliable DD forget about putting in any rods from another crank.

I do have a set of BNIB skunk2 tuner valvetrain and retainers if your looking for some.
