Took 5 hours to degrease it, and then paint it/new bolts?

 

Me too, got a lot of plans for it...

And i sprayed diesel fuel with a spray bottle and use tooth brushes to scrub all the dirt/grease off. Took a long time. Then i used 600 grit sand paper and sanded everything thing. Then i sprayed primer waited til it dried, sprayed a second coat of primer, waited until it dried then sprayed to coats of 2000 temp engine enamel. And yes i ordered new flange bolts for the transmission

 

Does diesel fuel act like a degreaser? I've never tried it, could be some good advice

 

Yes it's an amazing degreaser, also Transmission fluid works pretty good aswell
